The Ramada is in a great location right in the middle of the action and its rates are better than similar standard hotels. Room is clean and very comfortable. Hotel staffs are very helpful and super friendly. This hotel is about 5 minutes walk from Susukino subway station. They are all can speak English fluently. Close to many good restuarant and shopping area. Definitely be there again in the future.

A night in transit on way to Niseko by JR - excellent location in nightlife area - easy to find ex Susukino station maps. 5' walk from station. surprisingly spacious room (914 I think). very clean, basic room. quiety and comfortable. good night sleep. lots of restaurants nearby - had outstanding pizza and freshest vegetable salad in history at the very stylish Volare, round the corner. We got a great price on Wotif of about AU$80 which included breakfast - excellent value. Breakfast good - covered all tastes.

Hotel is located in the Susukino or entertainment district of Sapporo on the opposite side of the block from the station. Staff was freindly upon arrival and aimed to please. Room was the "standard" size for Japan. We stayed in room 926 which is a non-smoking room. I would suggest avoiding this room AT ALL COSTS. There was a constant mechanical sound coming from the wall near the desk all night long. It was so annoying that my wife and I actually used earplugs to get a good nights sleep. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety for both a Western tourist and Asians alike. I would recommend this hotel just not that particular room.
