Went and stayed here in low season, played 4.000 yen pp. Great value for room, and the staff was fantastic. The Onsen was awesome as well. Didn't stay for breakfast as it was going to cost more to have breakfast than to stay here. Staff were wonderful. Very close to Center of town. Remeber, big and fancy dosn't always mean expensive. The big guys have to make money as well. Stayed in an alright hotel in Sapporo and it cost us an arm and a leg compared to this hotel, and this hotel was 100 times more fantastic.

This hotel is well maintained and run. the staff are all very pleasant and helpful despite our japanese language limitations. there is no wififacilities but a computor is provided for hotel guests which was most convenient and helpful.we did indeed enjoy our stay there once we made it there. the location is good and if one is careful walking on ice ,one can get around quite a bit to a wonderful park and shrine nearby. one can also spend time on the main shopping street a couple of blocks away. the jr station is also not far away and i guess one should be able to walk there easily except in the winter !!!

We had the opportunity to experience the Loisir Asahikawa and were very impressed with the service extended to us. My Children (3&5) loved the room and the nicely prepared kids set (a plushy Polar Bear). The Food in the Cafe was great (Dinner & Breakfast) and the chef is luckily working with local products to give the guest a good feel of Hokkaido. The Service went out of their way to ensure our kids were taken care of! On arrival we were lucky enough to meet the GM and he was making an effort to welcome each guest!!! Check out the Spa in the basement, not an Onsen but has all you need and a very spacious Gym. The Massage was great too! Highlight was the visit to the close by Asahiyama Zoo (Winter set-up) with the Penguin parade, a must see! We will be back!
